You can still use the coupon code "10Sound". This provides 10%. $316, including shipping is still an awesome deal.

This is the first time Sound Earphones is selling Earsonics products.

They are getting their first shipment (including SM3s and SM2s) within a week or two. Then they ship it to us.

Then we go to the Appreciation Thread.

Contacted to the SoundEarphones for a price match yesterday and got a quick reply this morning. They give me the coupon code 'FG15' to take 15% off. Now the code can be applied to order again so the SM3 is under $300 including shipping.
They also informed that SM3s should be in stock in a week or so. Can't wait for the shipment.

Thanks Sopp! And welcome to Head-Fi.

I just placed my order. So for those waiting for a direct comparison between the SM3 and SE535, I'll get right on that... well, in two or three weeks... when they arrive...

Waiting... waiting...

Did you get the 15% discount?

i have the SM3 (paid $385 for it and still think it was worth it - this was before the U.S. distributor). But I did order the SM2 and got it for $225 (it use to be close to $400 if not that). My reasoning is that as great as the SM3 is, sometimes (very rare, but sometimes) it can be a bit too much. So I read that the SM2 is the SM3 but less ( i read this from various sources). I thought it would be cool to have a similar performing earphone without buying and extra pair of the SM3s now ( I like to switch up from time to time). Now, I'm considering getting the Shure 425 since I understand it's been totally overhauled and is more analytical than the SE535 (a Shure exec. described the latter as more fun sounding and the former as more analytical). I'm more curious about how the SE425 compares to the SM2 than how the SE535 compares to the SM3...

Shane55, the SM3 sometimes can be a bit too much, period. Meaning the sound spectrum is really forward. It sounds great, but with a lot of recordings it sounds like you're always sitting right in the middle with the musicians, or in the studio with them. Again, overall, there is nothing wrong with this, but for me, I sometimes want a sound spectrum that does have more of a "I'm sitting in the audience at a concert" feel. I once described the Miles Davis' as slitting up front in a small jazz club. Well, the SM3 is like sitting on stage, sometimes. Again, it is a wonderful IEM. So my understanding is that the SM2 is not quite as forward overall as the SM3.
