Best IEM tips?

Do you have recommandations for silicone tips to avoid driver flex (with Campfire Atlas) ?

Foam tips always stops driver flex for me.

I would assume the very soft ones can help to mitigate your issue: Baroques, HS18 or Spring tips, for instance.

Shape wise they seem pretty standard though...

I wasn't able to get any semblance of a seal with the Dunu S&S any size. Spinfit W1 (M and L) and sometimes Omni (M) for really shallow, Tri Clarion (L), Penon eP01 (M and L) and PAC LSTips (L) are seeing most use these days

I know it’s almost cliche at this point but I always come back to the Dunu S&S tips. Unmatched versatility imho.

I think i'll try these too, the shape is different so maybe it will solve the driver flex issue...

Yes that's what I currently use but i would really prefer silicone alternative.
Unfortunatly my ears produce quite a bit of wax (and yes i clean them everyday) and it doesn’t do well with foam...

I decided to try the ML of the Divinus Velvet Wide Bores. I had started with the L size and am doing a shoot out between the two. At least with my Planars, these wide bore units are game changers. I don't have to readjust my IEMs much anymore to get good bass response. If you are the kind of person that is constantly fiddling with the IEM placement in the ears perhaps a wide bore is worth a try. I have many of the ear tips we chat about here and the Divinus Wide Bores stand out in a good way.

Tip choice is very personal. I have the Divinus wide bores in both L and ML. For me, while the Divinus “wild boars” fit and sound great, there’s something about the material that irritates my ears, so I can’t wear them long. As a result, I almost never use them.

The wide bores ones become flimsier for the highest sizes. I have a ML set too and I end up repositioning my IEMs every now and then because of that.

Also, the quality of the seal for me seems lower than the regular (and firmer) version. I'm not the biggest fan. Nevertheless, what really matters is having a set ready if/when needed.

My problem is that my ear canals are somewhat different in size. Right is S, left is XS. Silicone tips rarely fit well for a long time, especially when I move around. Foam tips stay in place better, but have a tendency to hurt after a bit. Besides that foam tips annoy me with their rapid degredation...

So far my favorite tips have been the MandarinES / Symbio Ws hybrids. At least they come in XS... Are there foam tips that have an XS option? For an hour or so I can deal with Comply or Tennmak tips.

But I'm wondering if there's something else there. Bonus points if they like the Comply ones have a "tech guard" that saves my IEMs from ear wax...

Have you tried Azla Xelastec 2 tips? I was skeptical before trying them because of all complaints about their durability, but I have to say that they're really awesome, even if they won't last as long as "normal" tips (I've had them only for about a week or thereabouts).
Azla Crystal 2 are also very nice, as well as their Origins.

Not a fan. Instead of combining the best traits of foam and silicone tips, they combine their worst traits IMO.

Can I politely suggest the game changer was that they fitted you well not because of the bore size.

They work fine for me also but do not fit as reliably well as others so I don't use them, of course mileages vary.

Absolutely agree, same with the genuine/original Symbio version.

In an experimental frame of mind I once pulled the foam out of a set and put them inside some KBEar 07 that were working great for me. The foam really messed up the sound despite that it was encapsulated in the silicon, the 07 were a good fit and I had a good seal. Seems the foam did something to dampen a certain frequency range, I didn't experiment long enough to figure out what the problem was after determining it was a step backwards.

Pass. I agree they combine the worst of both instead of the best of both

A tip that works well for me on wider nozzle iems is the INfiter TPE Eartip

The picture below isn't very good (sorry), but hopefully you can see from the right iem that the tip doesn't protrude too much past the end of the nozzle. The left iem shows that the round tip has formed an oval shape to fit my ears well.
I find them comfortable for long use, get a good seal and no issues with sound.
They tend to fall off narrower nozzle iems, so only useful for fatties!

I have them, pretty much the same as the Softears UC or FIIO HS20. Basically they are awesome and I like that you get 4 sizes.
