So the Sony's are better in every way including comfort.
But The Koss's are better in sound quality? And they cost $6 less.

Let's say that more of the price of the ksc75 is dedicated to sq, instead of the headband, the full size cups, the large cord, the jack adaptor etc...
I just tried them now, and although the sony seemed ok at first;  but when I  switched to the ksc75,  it was much better sound, less muffled & better bass.
Maybe I'm nitpicking about the comfort (the ksc75 is pinching a bit my earlobes) .

I  didn't find them bright, even with slightly muffled highs, but it's quite ok for the price. I  admit I  have used a slight  bass boost from my rockboxed sansa clip.
The issue, is how I  have to struggle to put them on my ears, and I feel a slight pressure on my earlobes, that I  don't think I  could stand endlessly. But every ears are different.

If I were you I would try adjusting the part that goes around your ear. I'm pretty sure you can bend/adjust them. Mine are just a tad loose on my ears so it doesn't press against them which is nice. I had headband-modded my ksc75 and recently de-modded them back to normal because I realized how much pressure it put on my ears - I'd feel pain right when I took them off after a couple hours. So I understand what you might be feeling. But with the clips somehow it gives me a little room between my ears and the drivers.

No one would recommend the Koss's for using them more than 3 hours?
Get the Sony MDRs?

Get the ksc75 and do the headband mod, problem solved. Yep, still not full size, but more comfy.
Get this for the mod, it costs only 2$ or 5$:

Or get the koss porta pro, with older driver.

buy a camera or some other gadget from the USA at 30-40-50% off the prices here.
buy headphones along with this gadget.

Save big on the camera.
Save big on the headphones.
Share the delivery costs between them.

Essentially 'free' headphones when bought this way.
With the strong AUD that's what I am doing.

Locally, the only two dealers I can think of is Addicted to Audio and Headphonics. Other than those two, theres the big companies such as Big W (Walmart), Dick Smith (Took over radio shack here in Australia). Headphonics doesn't have anything under $50 if I remember correctly. Addicted to Audio, only has two products at $30

The bigger companies, while having cheaper products, tend to have crappy iems at $30
