Maybe you're right... It's just... my boyfriend has a pair of RS 160 and last year they fell from less than 1m on a carpet and they broke ;|
But maybe it was a case.

:)

RS 160 are inexpensive consumer wireless headphones, not professional ones.

Though I am surprised they broke with a fall like that - I assume you mean the headphones and not the charger/transmitter box?

That is misleading, the 102 dB SPL of the SRH-840 is specified at 1 mW. On the other hand, Sennheiser usually specifies the SPL at 1 Vrms, which results in a more impressive looking spec with anything that has <1000 Ohm impedance. 120 dB at 1 mW is not a realistic value for a typical full sized dynamic headphone. Using data from innerfidelity.com measurements, the actual sensitivity of these two headphones is:
  SRH-840: 99.6 dB/mW, 113.6 dB/V
  HD25-1 II: 105.2 dB/mW (calculated from 90 dB@0.03 mW, so low precision, 104.6 dB to 106.0 dB), 115.8 dB/V
