Best headphone purchase, worst headphone purchase you have made

Best: MS1, hopefully HF2 though.
Worst: V-Moda Vibe. Just wish the awesome customer service could completely make up for durability issues. It couldnt. (It was very good though)

Best: Hands down the AKG K1000. Easily the best headphone I have ever heard.

Worst: Denon AH-D7000. Dark, muffled, claustrophic sound with boomy, unfocused bass response. Easily the worst headphone I have ever heard.

I haven't gotten any new headphones since my last post, so I have nothing to add, yet.

Best: Etymotic ER6i

These aren't my best headphones but I find myself using them all the time. They are cheap enough that I can toss them in my gym bag and go.

Worst: Haven't really had anything that bad. I do lots of research before buying.

Best was definitely my AKG K340 electrostatic-dynamic cans. Got them in great condition at a great price, and they're excellent cans.

Not sure what my worst is. Sony MDR-V6 maybe? I was going to get them or the Grado SR-60, but had never heard of Grado and went with the Sony instead. The Sony headphones were pretty good, the best thing I had ever heard at the time I bought them, but after hearing the SR-60 at a meet in 2004, I changed my mind and bought them a year after getting my V6s. I would have been better off just buying SR-60s in the first place.

Best: Radioshack $49 Optimus PRO-60 (new cushions $8) with some pop they are more fun then HD800.
Worst: Sennheiser PX200 you have to push them to the ears to make them sound decent, Sennheiser RS-130, they hiss on every channel.

Best: Denon AH-D2000. One of the most pleasantly surprising and rewarding headphones I've heard to date.

Worst: Beyerdynamic DT880/2005 (250 ohm). An utter disappointment compared to the 2003 edition, losing the high frequency qualities that I had come to appreciate in the earlier version and sounding lackluster by comparison.

Best purchase would be the ESW10 which I still use every weekday in my travel to the office and at work. It's tjhe most comfortable closed can I have that is truly portable.

The wors I made was on my old Crosswroads Bijou. For some reason I didn't really like its SQ. Jumped IEMS due to that purchase. =(

I like the d2000 but the d5000 is a worthy upgrade IMO
