I'm a bit of a noob, and I'm looking for my first pair of decent cans...unfortunately my budget's rather low.
I would have gotten the Grado SR60i's but having sound leaked outside is going to be a problem :/ can anyone recommend a good pair of closed-back headphones under $100? Thanks!

Grado SR80i

seriously, unless someone is trying to read beside you, it won't matter if the sound leaks.

Sr80i has a better cable over the SR60I making them a tab bit better. But if you can find the SR60i for a decent price, add on some G-cush pads to make them perfect.

I have the Shure SRH440s, and I'm very happy with them for what I paid ($67 new including tax).  Nice isolation, good soundstage, excellent detail.  slight bump in the upper highs. bass is there with good extension but in limited quantity.  crisp, clear mids.  If you like detail and neutrality, they're the best option IMO.

If you care for a personal reaction, I had the 595s. They are indeed better than the 555s.  More open and resolving and dynamic. My 2cnts.
