Someone tried Blackplayer?

never tried it but... it has a very nice graphic interface indeed !

Can it stream to an external DAC 24/192 without downsampling like UAPP ? This will be a great solution then !

what about some help for a noob? I just got a galaxy s5 and have been using the stock music player. What is the best option for the s5 with no amp, just directly plugged into my Sennheiser 558'S

UAPP - OTG cable - Dragonfly

Just sweet sweet sound out of my GS4, so I'm guessing (hopefully) for the GS5.

I like file explorer like music player. I was a big fan of Ipod database type music player but it was just because Ipod didn't give any other options. My music collection is mostly based on vinyl rips in wavpack/iso or FLAC images 24/192 formats. I am not a big fan of fancy interfaces with lot graphics generally distracting you from getting information you need. Yes, I am a big fan of Linux command line. I rarely use equalizer mostly trusting and interesting in an original mastering. So based on the criteria my favorite player is Kamerton.

How does an app have anything to do with SQ lol?

You are absolutely correct. This is precisely how I see it too. However I can't argue with what I hear. Listen to the same track on Poweramp & then on Neutron and come back and tell us they're the same.

They are not. Neutron is clearly superior. Don't ask me why this is the case.

I've tried them all and now just use the stock 4.3 music player on my Galaxy s3 19300. With Viper4android added, I couldn't be happier.

Neutron is quite unique, I agree, but it seems to make music sound a bit 'grey' to my ears.
