I just bought a x1 to try out. I love my s5 but I miss having a screen must be a placebo effect lol. I gave the k9 to my partner she doesn't listen to much music so it's okay for her. The s5 rips the k9 in sound quality so I had to keep it. The amps in both are about the same and are better amped then my phone. I am hoping the x1 is as good as the s5.
UI wise I think both the s5 and k9 are okay the s5 is easier to use but I wouldn't call the k9 hard to use. You can pick them both up and use them easy enough albeit a bit quirky.
So far I found the best place to find specs is on benjie Alibaba store seems to be the most legit source. I might try an xduoo after this X1 if need be.

I look forward to your comments on the X1. I'm really happy with the S5b I bought a few weeks ago....but a screen like the X1's is a nice feature.

Over a week ago I've sent an e-mail to Benjie with the question when the T3 and T8 become available. Unfortunately no reply yet. In the meantime I was becoming very impatient so I could not resist to order a T6.
The Aliexpress seller told me the T6 was named T3 before. Maybe that is why some sellers have listed the T6 as T3 !? It looks totally different than the T3 on the Benjie website though.

Really love the S5b but I miss a custom equalizer so I opted for the T6 now. Hope it will be good too.

Yea they also have the k9s now that has Bluetooth I think. All these model names make it confusing lol.

K9 is a nice player but I cannot find a K9 with Bluetooth on Aliexpress. Did you find one with Bluetooth?

Yea apparently its called the K9s i will link it here mate. Do you like the K9? Sorry mate second check maybe its the K8? Some people have called the K9s so i am not sure.
It looks like the X1?
I dont know why the link is so long. Ill go through the models and see if i can compile a list to make it easier if i can verify them.

This has the screen and Bluetooth and the K9 had the equalizer also so maybe it will be a good fit for you. Just cant be certain that this has the same software as the K9.

I do prefer the color display on the X1, which seems like it would be easier to navigate around, but ultimately I'm more concerned with sound quality so is there any opinion between the two?

I'm also thinking of getting the KZ ZS5 to match, any thoughts on that? Excited to join the community!

If your not in a hurry i can tell you soon enough i just bought an X1 about a week and half ago and i own an S5. The S5 is very neutral sounding if you play with the EQ you can find a bit more bass. I am using the S5 with the KZ ATR its a good mix. Its clear and mids and highs are well spaced. I also just bought some KZ ED12 to try apparently they are more bass focused.
