bummer!
I think it cannot be to difficult, next I will try ACS, Im not giving up!

Guy i'm curious, what do you think of the SR-001 against custom IEMs?
I auditioned the EM2 Pro a few months ago but was not especially impressed by them, i can't imagine any IEMs being as good as the SR-003 i have, from a technical standpoint at least.
I must say i'm enjoying my SR-003 even more than my LNS somehow.

Tough question! The sr-001's transparency is unmatched, though they come very close. On detail extraction and resolution is a tough call, although if the stax could isolate, for sure they would win this match. I think the isolation given by customs helps them to deliver subtle nuances, thus they might appear more detailed, with the stax I can only get this level of resolution in a quiet room at night,,, The bass department goes to the customs and for the mids I wouldnt know, each of them has their own beauty.
Customs are great anytime there is noise around me, the stax are my choice anytime I dont need isolation: urban walking, at the car, etc. I wouldnt trade one for the other. But still my main rig, either the 007's or the 4070's win over them....

For isolation purpose, I add this. Funny looking, but it works.

Reading from the first post I recalled my love and hate relationship with the SR-001.

I prefered them over anything for movies. Their bass really make action movies more exciting, makes explosion more explosive. Their soundstage is quite big too in my opinion. But listening to music was not as pleasant because of the treble roll-off.

But I have sold them...Although it is a worthy little baby as keepers, the stock tips really irritates me.

Thank you! Your comments pretty much match my expectations... i find the baby stax incredibly transparent and fast as well, even compared to my Lambda. I wish i had the 007

i have diymod 5.5g ipod. can i connect diymod out to Stax SR-001 MK2 without using amp? does Stax SR-001 MK2 have own amp? or do i have to use amp for diymod before connect to Stax SR-001 MK2?

Stax SR-001 MK2 comes with their own driver unit, or you can just call it an amp. You have to use the driver unit to drive the earphones. The driver unit has only mini plug input. Source--> Driver unit--> SR001 (the earphones)

Yes. Yes. No. The SR-001 MK2 consist of S-001 MK2 phones and SRM-001 amp.

I'm not sure with diymod, I use LODs on my stock 5.5G and Fuzes, because with the headphone out I have to crank up the ipod volume to get to decent levels.

maybe it sounds stupid but i have a question
is baby stax really sensitive for humidity or other weather conditions as mentioned in manual ? i am asking because i will go to a city for 6-7 days whose weather condition is like this

72 °F
Barometer:29.83 in and steady
Humidity:88 %
Dewpoint:66 °F
.etc
is it safe to go this place with baby stax or keep away?
i really need a quick answer as i will go there soon
.thx
