Austin Meet - Interest Check?
Oct 1, 2015 at 10:04 AM Post #31 of 82
I'd be interested.  I've been to all of them I believe.  The last one was quite big and probably got a bit unwieldy for Maxvla to handle by himself which is why I think he sorta put it aside for a while.  I'd be fine with a smaller more intimate one again if need be.  The big one with vendors and such was fun, but not really needed.  I can't really help with time, but I can help with some money if needed.

Nah, everything went well except the turnout. Decided to wait for demand.

I can tentatively do January, definitely not February.

Yep, I'm interested. I can bring my electrostats and probably a couple of friends as well.

All of my music library is online, so it would be great if we could have wi-fi available at the venue.

These are the rooms available on the 30th and the rates:

Cypress 1500sq ft - $750
Live Oak 2000sq ft - $1000
Red Oak 4500sq ft - $1900

What was done in the past? Sorry if it's been posted already... just trying to get ideas? (Also attendance would help)... I'm looking for venues

2013 was in the Pecan room, 2014 in the Red Oak.

I'd love to go, I currently have an Asgard 2, Aune T1, and HE-400i, and would love to try the HE-560, ODAC, and O2. :)

How big was the Pecan room?

2000sq ft. Their floor plan is on their website.

Same size as the Live Oak room.  Seems to me that, subject to attendance feedback here, is a good size as a baseline--provided there are enough electrical outlets.  In 2013 we had enough room for members and a long table of vendors--all with equipment.  In 2014 we had more space then we needed.

Yeah, 2 cents here.  Unless there's a huge response, I'd say the smaller room would be adequate.
