haha yes my man :D!
Hope you are enjoying the 8320's :)

Anyway - I'll be off the Aurisonics scene.
Although I can gladly  give you comparisons with the MG7's and MDT's etc.

The ASG-1's are what I consider special, to anything I've ever heard.

I just didn't get along that well with the EQ'ing and all - but ESPECIALLY after I had those pains.
It was like:
EQ'ing heavily is "bad" enough, now pains on my ears, that's another level.
Decided to post them for sale as soon as I got back.

Didn't EVEN have the chance...(they sold before i got un-banned) poor me :p

FYI:
people looking for soundstage, shouldn't look past the ASG-1's.
IE8's are nice...but common its like an echo in a concert hall - ASG-1's DO SOUNDTAGE brilliantly.

So true about the soundstage and i can back that up completely!
As for the monos I'm loving them but struggling with com for and can not wear them for that long! ASG-1s to me have such a snugg comfy fit! All ears are different and i could get away with the ASG-1s as customs!

I can feel you ordering some customs from Aurisonics :p!

I still have them and starting to appreciate its unique sound signature more lately. I almost sold them at around 50 hours mark, but EQing and burning-in (physical & mental) worked out well. My current listening hours are divided 50/50 between ASG-1 and MG7.

they are radically different don't you find?

almost polar opposites.

soundstage wide = asg-1
soundstage narrow/muffled = mg7

mids lacking = mg7
mids present = asg-1

highs good = mg7
highs lacking = asg-1

speed = mg7
slower = asg-1

physical size being small = mg7
size being big = asg-1

Build quality being top notch = asg-1
build quality being OK, but not great/could be better = mg7

Only thing that they share is the lows.
sub-bass on the mg7's is king. However asg-1's do, do very well
mid-bass - both aren't too present, but both very good.

What is your eq with both btw?

Precisely.

I use ASG-1 for classical music listening and MG7 for house/rock/techno/etc.

ASG-1 EQ: bump up 1db - sub-bass region, reduce 3db at around 1.2K, raise 1.5db after 2k, raise 2.5db around 14k

M5 mg7: no EQ yet.

try adding 2-1.5db in the highs and 1-1.5db in the mids for the MG7's

And ur eq looks almost like mine for the asg-1

I find that the ASGS are quite speedy and deal with quick textured passages really quite well but then i can not compare. As for mid-bass presence i think they are also quite their.
Agree else where.

oh they are much better than the MDT's in speed.

But MG7's are even better with speed.
At least I find.

Okay, out of interest who has kept their ASG-1s and who has sold them on?

Mine are a keeper, once I upgraded the cable, they have become my favorites.

Nice a new owner has appeared! I think if their are people lurking with positive opinions they should jump in and share!

What cable have you gone too?
