@moonbst1 Hi, we've been replying to the issues that users are concerned about. Just to quote a few:) If your device is heating abnormally fast, please contact the seller for aftersales service. Thanks for your feedback.
At 100ma mode, what temperature range is considered as “normal” at 20-22c room temperature without no input/ no output connection, volume zero, on the height raiser?

It depends on headphone impedance too...however 65-66 imho. The same as you describe is the same that I have with input/output, volume 44 with lcd xc and he1000se. With/without connection, 0 or 64 volume, the same...

Are you sure ? they do listen, response and advise where to get help when you have a service request. See above !
yes, I am sure. they are really quite and no response for a longtime about heating issue. until I remind them on other ar5000 headphones thread. Not only me, many s17 pro users are experiencing over heating issue. they haven’t responded about this.

i stated that no input / no output. means no headphones connected. in my case, Reached 69c after 45mins of power up. Idling temp at 50ma is 61c. Soon as I switch to 100ma mode, temp ramps up to max in about 15 mins. (61c to 69c). Basically 100ma mode only works for 15mins. there are many user who has same symptoms here.

yes I contacted the seller, they said they contacted manufacturer and Aune told seller this is NORMAL. Seller refused to return or refund based on Aune’s response.

Mine has more or less the same behaviour after 1 hour. You should test it that way - without any connection. While listening to music maybe the maximum temp is 1 or 2 degrees lower in my experience. I managed to control amp temp in 62 C using two 80mm fans underneath it (room temperature around 28 C).

I’m so glad i purchased both my devices from Amazon, first unit had bad volume curve. The unit i have now seems to work fine but its going back anyway, i dont think i want to own an aune product after experiencing everything with the s17 release. The s17 sounds great, but something just isn’t right here, and it really worries me down the line.

Sad thing is that i almost purchased from this exact seller, i canceled my order due to delayed shipping. They refunded me with no issues. Still glad i never went through with it.

For my case, I won't ever send my unit back. The best sound happen when used as poweramp, so the volume doesn't matter to me, I drive it with the dac. And after owning lots of units and no one below 2500 dollars arrive even close to the S17 sound performance, I would really think twice before letting the amp go.

Well at least it didn't took you 3 units to understand that. 😬

Haha, it’s really a great sounding amp. But come on, cooling solutions?? Seriously? Lol

Those little problems may explain the price. But I think we can't have everything. I hope Aune will treat those issues. But you can't have the quality of an Enleum and pay 700 dollars the amp...
I agree completely, cough up some more money or hush it. I don’t exactly like the support from aune themselves thus far, sending customers back to the seller, that’s not cool aune.
