m0 is nowhere near to be able to drive the t800. A perfect DAP (or amp) should be ample to provide 3V rms and over 300 mA at 9ohm to power them

That doesn't sound right. T800 don't need that much power, and m0 is more than capable of driving them.
When i've tried them with m0, i was listening at around 30 out of 100, on low gain.

I would call T800 very efficient, all you need is an output impedance of your source to be close to 0.
My Kanas Pro were more power hungry.

yes they will work, but the second you hit 68/100 on low gain and above the M0 will fail miserably to power them.

My definition of "be able to power" Is to be able to reach 120db peak (not rms) undistorted. Low impedance =more distortion usually for a lot of amps. Driving them Is fairly Easy, driving them at the max of their capabilities Is pretty difficult due to low impedance (9ohm) and very low sensibility (90db). That's why a lot of people Say that are very cable and source dependant

I have went all levels of power. Using the V30... Getting around 10-15 mw, then e10k around 200mw, then fiio Q5 at around 400mw balanced ... The V30 was a mess with these. E10k was bettter, way better. Then the Q5 just refined the sound but it's more about the better Dual Mono DAC in Balanced than the power. But they love power.

I haven't used your DAPs/LGV30, but I would agree the T800 is easy to drive, but the source will really affect how much u get out of the T800.
With just my lousy smart phone with no higher level DAC/AMP, even the KZ ZS10 Pro is not too far away in sound quality from the T800. With a DAC/AMP, it really can draw more microdetails and dynamics and trump the ZS10 Pro. YMMV.

My experience as well. The low impedence is deceiving. Just bc you can drive them at high volume with a weak source does NOT tell the whole story. The amount of dynamic range and "tightness" noticeably increases when I drive my T800s with my xduoo xp2 vs my LG v30. The LG v30 is known for having an excellent thd, low noise floor output via its quad dac. And yet, I get noticeable improvement by feeding the T800 from a "value priced" amp/dac that puts out 245mW @ 32 ohms. Specs don't tell the full story.

So I haven’t listened to anything but my T800s since they came. I woke up early today and decided to finally listen to the CCA C12 which I felt was my newest leader in the clubhouse until the 800s came. Wow there is a much larger gap in performance of BAs in the C12 and the T800!
The T800’s just sorta blow the doors off the C12’s.....so all the gripping I did about the gap being smaller then first thought between Knowles and KZ/CCA BAs was way off. Man was I wrong, the difference in the two this morning is like night and day... I’m amazed how this pans out....clarity is miles ahead, details retrieved maybe bigger than details.
I’m gonna sell lots of iems this winter man! Holy Molly!

Knowles are the best (and of course tuning is critical as well). The T800
are detail monsters that’s for sure.

I can’t wait to see how their upcoming hybrids turn out!

Yea but i heard it will be a few steps under the t800

Well, at the level the T800 is competing, I’m willing to bet that “a few steps below” will still probably wipe the floor with most budget options.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

I’m hoping it’s not simply their entry model driver (T180 etc) paired with a dynamic driver, all slapped into a T800 shell.

i am quite positive the default knowles dampers are white, correct me if i'm wrong
It was discussed many times in this thread.
They are grey, and Audiosense representatives confirmed it.
I've taken mine out and compared to the ones i've bought online, they were the same (grey, 330 Res). White ones look very similar though.
