Would love to hear your comparison of Argons and Nighthawks.I would have thought accuracy would be the best match for the NH, but perhaps not. I'll hang on to the THX for when I get my Argons and see how that combo works. One of my next purchased will probably be a Denafrips dac. I'm curious to see how a helping of r-2r will fit into the recipe.
I was expecting the Violectric to pair well with the Emu-teak, but no such luck. It does however make the 6xx sound stellar.

@billbishere On advice here I got a set of iBasso ones to see how they would fit. I still haven't tried. They are the wrong shape and have no holes on the back.
But I do have 3 extra sets of the leather pads and 2 of the hybrid. I could part with one leather set if you are interested. But I am in the EU.
It was me with the IBasso pads

I definitely will, if they ever show up. I ordered them back in early November, so hopefully I'll have them sometime in January.

good to know. I also had put HM5 pads on some Audio Technica ad1000s. they were a pain to put on but reshaped to fit. I may have to give those a try.It was me with the IBasso padsThey fit very well, round shape doesnt matter, the same with the brainwavz hm5 hybrid pads, they are also round like iBasso pads but fit perfectly. The iBasso Pads are more easy to mount, the back lash is so small that you dont have to push holes in it for the nipples of the ring. I just can suggest the Ibasso perforated pads and brainwavz hm5.. with audioquest pads I was not really content soundwise (price too is way too high)

I reached out to Audioquest directly from a email address from this post. They told me all they have left to sell is the leather ones, all others are out of stock. But they did have the pure leather to sell still.

Also the full leather ones here: https://www.audiosanctuary.co.uk/audioquest-nighthawk-and-nightowl-leather-earpad-pair.html
I love my Hawks and Owls that much that I bought 2 extra pairs.
While I was at it I have ordered replacemant pads for all the headphones I own, two extra pairs for my Sony Z7s. Probably overkill, but better safe than sorry

Wow, what a stand! May I ask where can this be found? Thx
Speaking of balanced cables. I've been hanging out for a balanced cable for the Hawks. Received this one at work today.
Very please with this one so far. Just purchased off eBay. Connectors fit nice. Cable is flexible and well made. Also fits my stand real good.
Let the fun times begin. I get a quality jump with balanced. My Oppo HA-1 throws out double the power in balanced mode. Has always made my HP's sound cleaner. I can't wait to try tonight.

IMHO this is not ideal. The earpads still press with some force and will flatten over time. I prefer the Rooms headphone stands or similar formats.
