They are all-but-gone my friend. You'll be lucky to find some NOS at a Audioquest outlet. Perhaps try some Audio stores that may stock anything Audioquest, you might get lucky. I was very lucky enough to find a batch down my way and hoarded 2 sets! Or I do believe, Dekoni make a pair as well.

Is the nightowl suppose to be a upgraded nighthawk?

It is the closed-back version.

IMO, the nightowl is not supposed to be an upgrade but many people commented that it's much more neutral in its presentation when compared to it's semi-open brother.
