Nothing is easy to install on AT headphones

. The Dog pads are a little oval shaped though so although they do fit, stay on, and look normal on I think after awhile it may ruin the pads if you want to switch them to another non-AT headphone (from overstretching). Honestly though if the Alpha pads are anything like J$ pads (they look similar in pictures never tried the Alpha) go for them as the J$ are much better than Dog pads in every way to me.

Do the W1k and AD2k have the same basic cup shape as the AD900 with the larger plastic piece in the back? Pictures would be great too if anyone has this setup! I've taken to bolstering my AD900 pads with foam can insulators cut into half circles.

If you can't feel the headband, you're doing it right :p you can tie or use a rubber band to hold the wings together though.

They fit fine on my head, but that mod looked soooo challenging that I just had to give it a try! Yup, works well!

You'd better be careful, the poster of this mod obviously did not put a lot of thought into it.  He mentions that he was too lazy to get a SLR out, there's a good chance you'll be ruining your A900X.  YOU WERE WARNED!

btw, has anyone here tried using the aune x1 amp with the ad900x? i was thinking about getting one to drive my fa-011's but i was curious whether it would also make any difference to my ad900x's as well.

I posted up my video of the AD1000X :)

This afternoon I'm going to a meet and will be able to compare against the K701 and HD650. I'll make some notes (and maybe another video) and then write some more detailed impressions.

Thank you, thank you. I've been waiting for this video review and it's just as excellent as the previous ones. You've also sold the AD1000X for me as well. A couple of quick pieces of feedback. I'd like it if you actually wore the cans in your videos for a short amount of time and possibly turned your head to illustrate fit. This would be particularly important with the AD series as those wings don't always jive with people. Onto a question. Compared to something like the AD700, how is the fit of your AD1000X? I ask because I had to do some light modifications to get the AD700 to seal well and was hoping the AD1000X would do a better job of fitting properly. Of course, if you had pics, that would be even better.

Keep up the great video reviews!
