if the scratch is on clear coat, it might be fixable by patch it?

I believe so, but I am no expert on that.Sadly, I have the same issue with small scuff marks on my W5000. Is there a good method to buff the clear coat and remove scuffs without damaging the wood itself?
Get oil for wood. Consult with someone who does work in wood. It's even good to sometimes use some oil on our woodies nevertheless if you have marks or not.Sadly, I have the same issue with small scuff marks on my W5000. Nothing will remove scratchesWax will add this shiny gloss to the wood, but I doubt it will remove any surface scratches.
Nothing will remove scratchesUnless someone has wood in spray

The mothers wax i mentioned doesnt "remove" scratches but it sure fills them in and make them invisible as it does on my vehicle. I also owned a pair of w1000x for several years, and when I applied the wax it restored its bnib mirror finish, 0 scratches at all:
