Just to be sure have you changed the settings on your console to output to Dolby Digital 5.1? I know it seems obvious but I know several who have forgotten this simple step and... yeah.

Yup, was always like that.. maybe I need to concentrate a little more. Strange thing is that I played some good games on MW2 but didn't feel like it was helping me, but the sound just kept me on my toes and alert

Has anyone here compared the AD700 with the A700, like owned both headsets at the same time?

I've been using my AD700's plugged into my main 2 channel pre-amp.   They sound really great.  But not so great (understandably) out of my DAP (Sansa Fuze).  Has anyone tried the AD700 from a DAP with a headphone amp (maybe the fiio E11)?
Does the amp make a significant improvement to the sound?
