i really don't understand why the street price is always cheaper than the retail price for a new releasing product.

do street sellers steal the products to sell them cheaper

Same what i thought. However it should be very easy for A1000x users to upgrade to the A2000x pads

Is the only difference between both models, the pads?

How come not many people seem to be interested in these? The esw10jpn is considered to be an upgrade over esw9 by almost all who heard both, so shouldn't ATH's new fullsized closed headphones be even better?

Limited, lower price AND portable, it would be strange if the esw10jpn is better than A1000X/A2000X.

I'm tempted to, but I may go for the Denon AH-D7000's instead.

I want a "fixed" W5000: slightly fuller bass and a touch less nasal.

I'm listening to a friend's "broken" D2000's right now (screw fell out), and they definitely give me much of what I hope for in the bass department. They don't hold a candle to my W5000's (actually, recabled F5005's) in terms of detail, treble clarity & extension and SPEED. I used to wonder what people meant by speed until I compared the sound of Hi-Hats through these two cans.

Any suggestions? (any L3000's for sale?
