I pray this W3000 isn't bass light like my previous AD1000 and A2000x

It's weird, but you really can't predict how an ATH woodie would ever sound like other than that the mid-range will always be emphasized. I suppose you can somewhat generalize. The thinner cupped W-series tend to be bright and basslight, ie: W2002 and W1000. The thicker cupped ones tend to sound more warm, ie: W11JPN and W10VTG.

The W5000 is a strange outlier IMO. Looking at the W3000ANV, I guess it might sound like the W11JPN, W2002, or W1000X. No idea at all.

Hoping it to have more bass than ATH-W1000X. Not that I find it lacking for most music, but for fun factor.

Me too. I definitely hope it has powerful bass but detailed sound. I just ordered an ATH-W3000ANV from PriceJapan also. We're both in the waiting game now.

I really liked the previous "Japan" models. The W2002 was fun with pop and I was really considering buying another pair again. The ESW10JPN was just fantastic so I hope the W3000ANV will be a keeper.

That's so awesome! :D I wonder how many here are waiting for those...

I wanted the ESW10JPN, but I was obviously way too late for that back then. Pretty looking for sure, liking it much more than ESW9.
