Hope to be getting a nfb28 next week .. hope I'm going to love this amp/dac
Does anyone have experience using both the NFB 28 and say... a Mytek Brooklyn + or a IFI iDSD Pro? The latter two are more expensive than the NFB but wonder if there is an appreciable difference in sound quality between them before I jump and purchase the NFB.
stock power cable or upgraded one whats everyone using??

Unless I misunderstand your question, you need a USB A-B cable.

Any decent USB 2.0 A-B cable will do.

Could someone share his opinions with NFB-28 and Grado’s headphones?

Comparison NFB 28.38 to Sony WM1A with HD800S?

Should I save up for NFB 28 ?
Or get the Gustard H20 instead?
Looking to drive LCD3F, HD650 and Beyer T1.2 (hoping to push the Beyer out of its laid-back sound and congestion)

Honestly ? If you want to push the beyer out of its laid-back sound get something like a Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 dac/amp. Or on the highest end, okto research dac8 stereo (a brand new product hitting many records, 0.000032% THD, includes an amp. ridiculous specs).Should I save up for NFB 28 ?

Both the NFB and H20 will not brighten up your beyer sorry to say.

Never heard of brands but those seem to be very interesting alternatives esp. the okto ! How does it perform against NFBs from an audible standpoint?Honestly ? I suppose the 650s and LCD3s would also pair well with your recommendations?

All your headphones are on the warm side so I would say hyper detailed would work well with that. The NFB is already warm/syrupy so if you connect it to audeze/650 I'm sure you end up with a super dark sound. if that's not to your liking I really would suggest a more detailed dac/amp pairing, instead of going for the NFB. Audio-gd also made an ultra low distortion product recently, the AS-1. But I think hardly anyone has tried this product yet. No idea if it's goodNever heard of brands but those seem to be very interesting alternatives esp. the okto ! How does it perform against NFBs from an audible standpoint?

The Pro-ject box has gotten very good reviews especially on a budget, but it is not ultra high end. The Okto caters to those who want a benchmark product, it has one of the cleanest specs of any audiophile product yet. It is also very new though so you might have to update firmware etc as the product evolves/matures. They are a no-BS manufacturer at an honest price. Breath of fresh air
