Audeze is proud to introduce to the world of SINE, our new SINE DX!  We have been showing prototypes of this headphone at Head-Fi meets and at CanJam and the response has been very positive. Here you go, the on-ear Sine DX with drivers optimized for an open-back headphone offers an amazingly smooth frequency response, an enormous open soundstage, and fatigue free listening.

This Audeze.com exclusive offer starts Tuesday, April 25th at 12 Noon PDT.  For this special promotion, take advantage of a $499 discounted price from the list price of $599.  We have a limited run of 80 units, so we hope those who can "grab it before it’s gone" enjoy it as much as we do!

More information is available on our website here

open on-ear for portable use ?
hmmm , im thinking what area does this headphone target.   If its outside on the go , then lack of isolation due open design will be a problem and no matter how good the sound is - outside noise will spoil everything.

if its for  Quiet environment  then how does it compares with  LCD series i wonder ....

i have hard to se a proper place for open back on ear headphone, maybe Office - if you want to be aware of stuff that going on around you, but still.... hmmm

Grado has a huge cult following and almost their entire lineup is on-ear open back. For the price it's probably going to sound pretty good. Not meant to compete with the LCD series

Is it limited to Us? I live in Australia. Also beside the open back what's changed compared to the closed back model?

I like audeze but all the headphone I tried is too heavy for me. This really appeals to me for home and long cars trips.

1. No. We will ship anywhere in the world.
2. The driver design is slightly different to take advantage of the openback. Damping is also different.
3. The Closedback has an LC circuit and the open design doesnt need it.

Excellent SQ and design.  Terrible comfort.

Call me when Audeze offers some extra-thick pads for these and I'll come running.

Until then....

Did you try them on? How was the weight and also how was the clamp pressure? Pretty tight on the head or medium force?

Yes.  They fit and feel exactly like the regular SINE's, which is the problem (for me, anyway).
