They will take a while to arrive still before I can test them. You can also get similar on Amazon. From what I've read, any generic (but not the OEM) MSR7 pads seem to work without adapters, or at least those who've gotten them from various sources have said the same thing.
The pads I listed earlier have the same sound as stock. A slightly loose fit, but no need for adaptors.

Trying to decide between these 2. Both are super cheap and appear low profile, I'm just afraid they'll be too loose:

$7.99 (ATH-MSR7 M50X M20 M40 M40X):
https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-...pID=41zB6MS9CrL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

$5.59 (ATH-M50X):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/142632699573?rmvSB=true

I have a pair of generic M50X pads and a pair of generic MSR7 pads. The MSR7 pads have ruffles in them -- this is the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/Sqrmekoko-Cu...rd_wg=gVBzE&psc=1&refRID=Z4NQ4G03J6PX0F7XT7PY

The M50X pads (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074YGKR8N/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) while smaller in size, is slightly thicker (2-3mm). While it may not seem like much, it made a HUGE difference in response compared to the slimmer MSR7 ones. The bass was significantly reduced and the treble became very sharp, and also became sibilant. The look of the smaller M50X pads fit better with the Sine but the MSR7 ultimately sounded a lot better.

Totally makes sense about sound being worse with the thicker pads. The Brainwavz I have are super thick and the sound is much too distant. Need a solution close to stock pad thickness.

Just to be clear, these MSR7 you're linking to here fit without modification? Or do you have to tape them on or something like that?

The one I linked to would very loose or would not fit without either a 3D printed adapter, or something else. I have taken some cardboard and cut out a frame to slide into the pad slot to fit around the pad and it worked pretty well too until my printed adapters arrived.

You can download the 3D printed adapter model and get them printed online at sites like 3DHubs for super cheap. I think mine cost $4 shipped from a local guy.

Supposedly generic (non-OEM) MSR7 pads don't require adapters--at least that's what user reports say. I have 2 cheap pairs on the way, will report on the fit when they arrive.
I got these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Soft-Ear-P...-Technica-ATH-MSR7-SX1-Headphone/263547299448 (looks like the seller bumped up the price by $1.25 USD per pair since I ordered)

The one I posted (which looks a lot like that ebay link) can work without the adapter but its going to be very loose and slides around and will likely fall out from time to time. Basically, you can make it fit but if you slide it to fit one side, the stretchy part will overhang by a quarter inch or so on the opposite side, so the fit isnt great. With an adapter or a cardboard cutout, it'll stay on without any worries.

any updates on this? I'm thinking of getting them too.

I haven’t used that specific one but another one I found on eBay that works. The mic uses a different pin that’s independent of the stereo pins that go into the headphone. The mic should work regardless of headphone.

oh sounds good, may I have a link?

My issue with the Meze cable is that small protrusion in one of the cable ends, looks like it might interfere with going in the cups

EDIT: found this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FTYK13M/ref=sspa_mw_detail_3?psc=1&th=1 but what goes in the cups are 3 pole, shouldn't that make a difference or no?

I bought these ones 2 years ago. They are still on ebay! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cable-Remo...-headphones-/281502096573?hash=item418ad51cbd

On android, the volume buttons do not work. the middle button still pauses/plays music though.

FYI - the sol republic cable is a 2.5mm into headphones, which wont work with the Sine. They also dont work with Hifiman or M1060 either for whoever cares. :)

Thanks a lot!

Whoops, my bad. Was thinking maybe cables of a Beyer T1 could work? 2x3.5mm into cans, but 3 pole instead of the Sine's 2.

Beyer T1 Cables work Just fine. I use a 3rd Party one as the cable for my Sine, the 3 pole stereo plug is not an issue. I believe you can use a stereo cable in a mono jack, but not the other way around
