Brand new pair of LCD-X for $1000...really weird!

I would much rather be buying that than the $1000 in car repairs I am paying for this afternoon.

Said that the post had been banned. I think we are getting closer to catching this thief. These have all been red flags in my book.

I am not sure about that listing you wrote but this other ebay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audeze-LCD-X-High-Performance-Planar-Magnetic-Technology-Headphones-NEW-/311353357169?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 is definitely stolen stock because I actually asked them for the serial number and it is Serial # 7456618 and it states stolen on the audeze website.  I sent a message to the security email address at Audeze a few days ago but did not get a reply from them and the auction is still going on.

I had no ideea someone was able to track them down...

The downside is that the user selling them is having many other things, and is probably hard to track down.
Use honeypots. Post at buying sections on most visible forums.

this is a great ideea.

Just take into account that it might backfire, like you could actually help them sell all the stolen headphones, before they are caught.

It seems you don't understand the honey pot idea :) The person pretending to be interested would never buy the stolen merchandise

Yes, i understand it, but the internet is huge. There are lots of people, who seeing the AD might buy the stolen ones, without even realising.

Maybe, if someone who knows more hacking could track the IP of the seller, after requesting a conversation through IM, and send an anonymus email to the police, containing the thief's adress, ip, and other details that are obtainable through a process like this, no?
