Well, until I posted on this thread I felt like I was the only one who cared about this feature but it feels good to know that I'm not alone and maybe Audeze will pick up the pace if more people add their voice.

We did some initial tests with users and the feedback was quite different than what we had. So there is a bit more fine tuning we have to do. The 3D with headtracking off is still in internal test. We hope to release it next month.
But soon we will release a cool new accessory. We are constantly working on improving the Mobius.

Wow... us poor folk have to make due with an LCD3, which I LOVE. But I like the job Mobius fills in my headphone collection. It's a good portable headphone, I wouldn't feel as comfortable walking around town with a wireless LCD3 on my head. Mobius is already on the big side as it is. But I like how it looks, despite the bulk, it works.

The default curve is bright and I believe there's some ringing or resonance with the stock pads. You can do some additional eq to make the treble level more comofrtable and change the pads(i really like the brainwavz angled pleather for this) to alleviate some ringing/resonance which will improve treble/mid range performance improve imaging, and improve soundstage.

Can you tell us more about the differences from the original pads, in terms of sound quality changes, eq compatibility, comfort (besides being cooling), and will they come with instructions for swapping?

We have tried really hard to minimize the SQ changes. That said, these conform to the shape better (especially for people who wear glasses). So it offers a tighter seal and this should offer more consistent bass. The earpad swapping is quite easy and we will post some instructions online soon.

You can get the cool graphite ones to add a second colorway. I think my copper would look a bit more serious with the graphite pad edges. I'll bet team blue + graphite edges would look nice too. In fact, a graphite mobius plus a touch of color of the blue or copper would look neat too imo.

Yeah, same cost to ship to Canada + who knows what in customs/duty etc, Fedex can be brutal.

@Audeze I'd order these in a second if they were available on amazon.ca (.com won't ship it to Canada).
