You may want to check grounding on that port or the cable itself. I don’t have my mobius yet but I’ve seen this issue with other gear.

I can't confirm this problem, I marathoned some battlefield 1 as soon as I got mine and had no problems. However, can you provide more information? What connection were you using? Are you confident in how well your PC is grounded? Can you try with a different cable and/or a different port?
So it cut out again while watching some youtube videos. I'm using the included usb-a to usb-c cable, the usb-a end to the motherboard and usb-c end to the headphones. Tried changing the ports still happens. My PC power supply is grounded to the wall outlet. The buzzing seems to come and go as it pleases. I will try some other usb-a to usb-c cables tomorrow to see if this helps.

I have had the headphones cut out on my Mac, but it was the cable (usb-c) falling out or being bumped, it dislodges just enough to stop playback. No buzzing, or hiss that I can hear.
The cables fastened pretty securely they don't seem loose. I will try some new usb-a to usb-c cables tomorrow to see if this helps.

hmm the PC power supply is grounded to the wall outlet and motherboard is grounded to the PC case. It's connected to the usb-a port on the motherboard. Can improper grounding cause the coil whine noise in the headphone even though the signal is digital?

Absolutely. You can get interference at any link and have it manifest.

So I'm not the only one with persistent hiss in all modes. Sure wish Audeze would respond to these concerns. 3 posts here, 1 on IGG, and an email to them directly. Complete silence - unlike my headphones
@Audeze @KMann
I have this same issue and sent in a service request. # 82361
That and I'd like to put in my vote to add a toggle for SideTone and HeadTracking. I want to hear the game not my own voice. And I would like the option of having all the coolness of playing my games in 7.1 3D without having the sound move around when I look between my monitors.

Does the PC shutdown or go to hibernate or sleep mode ? If we get a USB signal, the Mobius should not shutdown.another annoying issue:
the headset turns itself off after a while, even when connected to the PC.
then i need to turn it on again, and its back to default settings..
these headphones are such a headache.
also, i dont know whats better for the battery life, keeping the headset always at 100% charge or 0% ?
they gets warm when they are connected via USB but i want it to be connected to the PC at all times as its the only device im using it with right now.

The buzzing is probably from interference or grounding. If you have a metal case for your PC, does touching it or some other metal surface change the humming. So i stumbled upon some issues while testing the headphones. Yesterday in some 6 hours of competitive Overwatch the the headphones suddenly disconnected from the PC. This happened four times and the only solution to this was to remove the cable and plug it in again. This was very annoying.
Today I now hear a very weird buzzing noise like you hear from certain AC adapters and power supplies on the left ear cup and it also cut out again while watching Netflix.
Anyone one else also has these issues?

Got mine a couple days ago. So far I'm enjoying them, the surround experience is very good but I have a problem.
I'm trying to use the head tracking capabilities (via USB connection) on my PC games, but I don't seem to get it to activate. I have already taken the head measures in the Windows App and make sure that the 3D setting is in manual mode with the "centered" message, but I just get the surround effect without the head tracking thing.
So far I have tried it with GTA V (using the surround profile with medium distance in sound settings) and Battlefield 1 (choosing surround option in audio settings) but no luck. Am I missing something here? Because I turn to the left and right and the surround is still on the position of the camera.

Got my Mobius up here in Canada the day before yesterday. It was only today that I got a chance to really do some deep listening and figure out the controls. I'm a big fan of Audeze, my fave headphones are my LCD-3s so yea, I was predisposed to go all fanboi over these things.
I was a little disappointed that Mobius wouldn't let me bypass electronics for a pure analog input but... hey, I get it.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed. I think Mobius retains that detailed PM sound signature in the upper mids that the LCD line does so well.
I have a question, and my apologies if this has been covered but... are the earpads removable? I gave one of them a light tug and it looked like they might be glued on, but I didn't press it. I think these headphones might benefit from a bit more padding, not that these pads are total crap or anything, I'm very satisfied with the overall build quality, the look and feel of the controls.
Like I said, I'm a huge Audeze fanboy and I really think they've scored a "headphone hatrick" with Mobius... Gaming, Portability and musicality. And did it without analog in, no small feat.
Thank you, Audeze. I will be spilling more ink on my Mobius impression very soon.

Ya its fixed virtual speakers not locked to the game camera

So just like normal surround? I got the impression that maybe the virtualization was more interactive.Ya its fixed virtual speakers not locked to the game camera
In the promotional video (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/mobius-immersive-cinematic-3d-audio-headphone/x/18330128#/ about the 2:09 mark) they show some guy moving his head while playing some kind of FPS game like he was getting some kind of feedback from the movement itself.
Then the question still persists. How do you use the 3D imaging then. On 360º videos or what?
I don't get it. Sorry if I'm being dense.

Heh no he was just perplexed at how there werent surround speakers in the room i guess.
The 3d is meant to simulate real loudspeakers in a room. The idea is that with the head tracking it increases the perceived realness of the virtualization. Even slight head movements affect this.
