I miss some things in (V3) that were largely discussed here for a new firmware, see lists below:
- A fix for the channel inbalance caused by different acoustic properties of the left and right cup, causing the frequency response to drop off 1-2dB in the right cup below ca. 2kHz, up to 3dB below 100 Hz.
- A fix of the channel inbalance which causes all gaming EQ presets to shift ca. 1.5dB to the left.
In the sum these two create a significant shift of the stereo image to the left.
- The announced basshead EQ preset seems not yet included.
- 3-D Auto sluggish behavior.
- 3-D Manual long term drift to the center.
- Headtracking too strong for some people (like me) in the front +/- 30°.
I did not yet update the firmware as I did not have found the time for the process.
I am now wondering if it's worth to risk the possible hassle. I am already on (V2) and don't have any of the problems mentioned to be fixed in (V3).
The most important fixes for me would have been correction of the 2 channel inbalances, which in the sum generate a problem in daily use for the Mobius, even more in 3D, where an outside/source side correction doesn't fully do the trick.
I find myself using the Mobius lesser these days because of the audio related problems mentioned.
Are these still scheduled for a fix?
