Thanks for providing this pinout. I couldn't find it when I was reterminating my balanced cable. Checking against this diagram, I realized I actually switched the negative and positive on both L/R sides.

So, since they are both reversed, it doesn't matter right?

[Edit: for those interested, I found out that this issue is actually more contested than I thought. If you care about it, this is a pretty helpful article. https://www.stereophile.com/content/absolute-phase-fact-or-fallacy]

Plz contact Audeze or your cable maker for this problem.
I don't know what will happen if you switched L/R but its better to be on safe side.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just to keep things clear, you understand it's not the L/R channels that are switched with each other, but the polarities on their respective sides. As was discussed earlier, since both are switched you don't have an inversion problem. It's a much more complicated issue concerning absolute phase which involves not only the reproduction gear but the production chain including microphones, preamps, consoles, etc.

I'm totally with you about being on the safe side though. I got out the old multimeter and soldering gun and I'm going to switch it to spec just in case.

I made a nice little discovery with the i4 recently. Unlike a full-size open-back headphone, I can listen to the i4 at normal volume in bed, and my wife doesn't hear it. :)

Then you're lucky!

I tried that and while I am a low volume listener and she's not a particularly light sleeper it leaked enough to wake her up and I was not listening to metal either (oh and I do have a king size bed...)
Your mileage may vary of course

We usually have a fan running in the bedroom, and often also a 'noise' machine (sound of ocean waves, etc.). I think that background noise may be just enough to mask the noise the i4 makes, while not bothering me too much when listening to the i4 (fan and noise machine are usually on her side of the bed).

CP145 is 4.5 mm, vs CP155 at 5.5 mm. How difficult is it to get the CP145 to fit?

Hi all, I see in this thread that some of you have ground problems with Hugo2 when the charger is connected. I have the same. When I listen lcdi4 with Hugo2 in charge I can hear a big ground noise. If I touch the 3,5 connector of the cable it stop, if I touch the lcdi4 the noise increase and if I disconnect the charger and listen Hugo2 with the battery the ground noise stop. Do you know how it is possible to avoid this problem?

Try ifi audio groundhog. Connect directly to the wall plug.
Connect ground hog to one of the rca ports on Hugo 2.
The noise will disappear.
