It's pretty accurate review in my opinion especially in the section of comfort.

Be sure to let them to burn in for a couple days, mine took 4 days, as I said in my first impressions I was disappointed for the sound and I thought was because my amps.
I was under the impression audeze burns their headphones?

Damn, just went from 1 week wait for my trade in to a 4-5 weeks due to a part shortage.

Yes, I’m in the same situation with the trade-in. Wish I hadn’t sent in my LCD-4Z. It was my only headphone and I feel like my prized possession is missing.

A bigger headband "maybe" and leather free pads will be my ideal for these headphones in terms of comfort I can deal with a bit of resonance I don't care (I use leather free pads on my 2 & X). I emailed Dekoni today to see if they have plans to create pads for the LCD 5.

In another notes it's funny how different (muffle specially in vocals) my LCD X sounds after use the 5 for about 1 hour.... I love my LCD X but not the 5... yet, It's hard to explain.

@Audeze make a LCD 5 in a LCD 4 body! I will pay more! lol... I'm one of those that doesn't care about the weight, sorry.
What don't you love about it?

What don't you love about it?

The pressure on my ears, the leather kinda irritate my skin after 1 hour the cushions on the leather free pads is more soft like pillows on my head and I use glasses its painful to accommodate my glasses with the headphone on I don't have that problem with the others Audeze and last but not least... the side/looks but that is more subjective.

Do I love the sound?... Ohh yeah!! But at this time it's a pleasure that I can only tolerate for 2-3 hours (Like the review on Headfonics mention) before I feel discomfort and fatigue.

This is me, reading that review:

- Pastes "https://headfonics.com/audeze-lcd-5-review/" into browser tab address bar.
- Reads "The Audeze LCD-5 sent to us is a sample in exchange for our honest opinion."
- Closes browser tab.

On a less critical note (let's hope), I'm expecting my pair to arrive tomorrow. Didn't have the opportunity to exchange my honest opinion in order to obtain one, unfortch.

:peace:
Why did you bother opening the tab to start with?

The comfort really isn’t as terrible as people make it out to be. And I wear a size 58 hat

And at least there’s a DIY fix on the way :)

Headfonic reviews are usually quite detailed and I haven’t had problems with perceived bias reading the LCD 5 one

I will be honest. I have 0 issues with comfort and I wear glasses. I will have to readjust the cups every few hours but I've worn them for multiple 10 hour listening sessions without an issue 😅. I don't get the fatigue either.

The biggest downfall of the cans imo is the power required to drive them to their potential.

Also poorly recorded tracks sound like crap on these. No forgiveness.

Some songs sound flat and some sound full of life. I actually enjoy them for every type of music although sometimes I do find myself missing those HifiMan sparkling highs

Every one is different I guess, I don't want to sound that I'm complaining just want to point out what is my issue, probably other people are sentitive to leather too and that can be a big deal, I do have a problem with leather and for me it will be nice to have an option like most of the LCD line... I have to switch between the 5 and the X for longer sessions and evertime that I put the 5s back I got to the same conclusion... There's not way I'm returning these.

All reviewers are too cheap to put up their own money, surprise. It's an honest game though.

Reviewing for me is part of the hobby so not as prolific as others, lol, but I bought the 5 with my own money. Hope to receive it sometime in November.

Prolific or not, the reviews that I have read/seen from you are far better thought-out and helpful than a vast majority on the web. I look forward to your impressions and comparisons.
