Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread

So any reason left to get the 2f over these?

The LCD-2F got more and more neutral over time. So the current revision, 2016, is what I consider to be mostly neutral with a slight bit of warmth like how I would describe HD600. The pre-fazors and the LCD2C are warmer and have a darker tilt. It sounds like comfort wins out hands down with LCD2C over 2F. But the 2F you get a pelican case. Also, with the price hike the 2F is considerably cheaper ($650 new from Adorama or ~$500 used). Just depends what your priorities are.

I haven’t heard the 2C but I concur with the above description of the 2F. As it turns out it works perfectly in my system because a) I have the Atticus as a warmer ‘foil’ for the LCD-2 when I want more warmth and slam, and b) the R2R-11 has a warm of neutral presentation that brings out the richness of the LCD-2 drivers and better controls the mid-to-treble transition than more neutral or bright sources like the Jot. So yes, depends on your priorities. If you like your sound warmer and darker, sounds like the 2C is the way to go. I have a Lohb strap on my 2F which makes comfort a non-issue, the Pelican case is a must for me, as are the leather earpads.

I'm looking for a hanger for these, maybe not to related to the lcd2c but I'm guessing a hanger like these would damage them over time? http://www.ikea.com/se/sv/catalog/products/60152590/
Not sure if say the hanger would say fit the entire width of the headband of the LCD-2C. If it doesn't fit all the way it would wear out the strap headband faster than normal if it gets stuck on the protruding part of the hanger.

I've been thinking of just putting the hanger on the wall next to my desk. Have been wondering about buying a few and putting all of my headphones on the wall. But not sure how it would look

I use cheap plastic clamps on the side of my desk to store all my headphones and a cheap stand for my current listening can.

Really wanted omega stands but I hear they squish the earpads. So I went with these. It also doesn't mess up the headband

Where can that stand be purchased?
