I agree, there must be some issue with a batch of drivers. There were so many of these shipped previously and never a mention of a driver issue. I don't treat mine any differently from any other headphone, and I've had them more than a year, no problems. I have several times removed the grilles, changed cables dozens of times, changed headband....no problem. So these recent cases would either be an odd run of really bad luck, or a higher driver failure rate than we've seen before. Maybe Audeze can comment. I am sure they will get it sorted out, though. They responded well to a few early issues with the headband.
