I mailed Alex from Audeze. They can make a custom cable for you when you buy it.

I asked them the cable length question in an email, they told me 8 feet and terminated to 1/4 yes.  Pretty sure he said copper as well.

I'm sure every other high end stock cable is the same or worse.  It's not like the sennheiser hired ken or alex to make their cables for the HD800

They did the exact same thing on the Beyer T1...and spent an extra two cents on the 800 cable...
 
The 4-pin XLR was installed to encourage the experiment of various wire.....EASILY!

It's a nice cable. Canare makes good stuff.

in other words, it's one of the best stock cables of any headphone available today.  I would feel great about recabling my headphones with that wire.

I think that's what the loaner Thunderpants are cabled with.  I wasn't to fond of it.  Heavy and stiff.  Microphonic to but I think that was the covering after the Y.

Similar yes, the one on the TPs is Mogami. Without the tech flex it isn' t microphonic..the LCD-2 doesn't have any of that techflex on it. 
 
For stock cable it doesn't get any better honestly.

I completely agree.  It is a very smart choice.  Very durable, no nonsense, and does not cost a fortune. In fact, my speakers are using the 12awg version of this cable.  I have absolutely no plans of changing cables, but then again, I am a Bluejeans Cable kind of guy, so take that for what it's worth.
