Got my clips from Frank88. They're clearly much stronger. I'm currently using them with some clear ear hooks. There's basically two kinds of hooks, clear and black. I had to trim down the clip posts (which i was nervous about, so i'm glad he sent 3 pairs), and the ear hook shafts in order to make them short enough for my ears, but they are great! Too early to tell if they are actually going to help the headphones stay in my ears, but in every other way, I'm glad I made the upgrade.
I haven't tried the black ear hooks yet.

updating my eq settings. very similar sounding to before, but simplified. Filled out the sound a bit.

Preamp: -8.5 dB
Filter: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain -8.5 dB Q 1.5
Filter: ON PK Fc 4000 Hz Gain 7.5 dB Q 0.4

I seem to have a quite narrow ear canal entrance. The only tip that I am able to use with good results so far is the Comply Isolation, size S. But even so, I feel that I could use an even narrower tip. Anyone could please advise on that?

Cool, looks good :) A flush cut nipping plier makes trimming easier. The small clear ear hooks without the bottom opening have a slightly tighter curve to them and may hold even better. Overall I have found that the setup is super comfortable and very stable. IMO an endgame soution.

yeah but now i'm seeing that taking the 250 away was no good.
still needs tweaking maybe but currently like this:

Filter: ON PK Fc 250 Hz Gain -3 dB Q 1
Filter: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain -8.5 dB Q 1.5
Filter: ON PK Fc 4000 Hz Gain 7.5 dB Q 0.4

i'm thinking about something to take out some high end sizzle, like a 10k dip. we'll see.

I'd always welcome feedback too. I don't think I've ever gotten any
I will try, but sometimes listenng changes day to day, depending on how I feel, not sure myself. Nor am I much of an expert. Depends on music it seems also, I will take out the LS and listen. Thanks.

well it took a few trys, and i blew my ears out a few times, but i think i have at least a minor improvement here. maybe not
EQ is so tricky! It's so funny how settings that sounded great for months can suddenly sound so off. It always happens though.

20's:

Preamp: -5.5 dB
Filter: ON LS Fc 120 Hz Gain 1 dB
Filter: ON PK Fc 250 Hz Gain -3.5 dB Q 1
Filter: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain -8.5 dB Q 1.5
Filter: ON PK Fc 4000 Hz Gain 5 dB Q 0.4

@Br777
I am using an isine 10 and this eq sounds really good with it feom my pioneer xdp300r. However the player uses an ess 9018 chip and is a bit bright. Any tips on how to fine tune these for the isine 10?
Thanks in advance.

I've been tweaking my eq a lot lately and I actually thought it was too bright.
It's still a work in progress I think, but this should be better

Preamp: -6 dB
Filter 1: ON LS Fc 120 Hz Gain 2.5 dB
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 250 Hz Gain -3.5 dB Q 1
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain -8.5 dB Q 1.5
Filter: ON PK Fc 4000 Hz Gain 5.5 dB Q 0.4
