I checked the Apple earbuds this morning and mic works perfectly, loud and clear. Waiting for Audeze Customer Services to get back to me

I also noticed after updating the firmware from stock to the latest version my ideal volume level went from around 2-3 volume steps to 5-6 steps. I couldn't find patch notes on all the versions of the app so i"m not certain if this is the result of a past versions changes or if it's something i should look into.

On Cipher V1 we made a change in firmware to provide better volume control especially at lower volumes as many found them to be loud within 2nd ot 3rd click. So we added more clicks at lower volumes.

BTW @Audeze , here's a simple mod you might want to consider in the future:



Note how I no longer have to take the ear-hooks off when I put my isine's away in the traveling case.
Also note that I did a terribly sloppy job of this by using a cheap kitchen knife to cut away the plastic and an old knife sharpening stone to smooth things out (pleas. feel free to mock me as I deserve it), but for all intents and purposes it works great, so it could easily be done much better yielding cleaner results, especially if the job was done in the factory during production.

The most obvious difference is the bass. KSE-1500 already have plenty of bass for an e-stat but still falls short against the iSines.

I just snagged the i20 with Lightning Cable as well because that's a great deal. I'll pair it with my iPhone. Hopefully, it will come with the newer cipher cable.

They were already selling for close to the Black Friday prices new on eBay. A weekend sale won’t affect long-term resale value.
