ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF

Do these have the same fit as previous models?

Not quite the same fit, but close.  When I had them on, it felt like the ear pad openings are just a wee bit bigger, and the pads were thinner. I'm pretty sure it's a different memory foam.  They were fantastic.  On my xVibro ear pads, the foam will squish in enough that the leather folds in and touches my ear sometimes.  Not a big deal, but I did notice that this didn't happen on the new pads.

Headband comfort was good.  I don't recall much about the headband, actually.  I am bald, so any bumps, firm spots, or creases are usually felt right away.  I guess they just did their job so well, they were kind of invisible.   This is a good thing, me thinks.

I forgot which model I tried on at The Show, but the fit seemed too big for me.  Although it was only for a few minutes that I tested.

Noooooooo please nooooo. That's why I had to red rid of my omni and vibro, I could not get a good fit. Please say it ain't so..... :disappointed::disappointed::disappointed::disappointed::disappointed::disappointed::disappointed:

Just fell over laughing. That's hysterical!

I can totally relate... A story: I have a pair of JVC HA-SZ1000's burning in...legendary bass cannons. I'm not exactly a  basshead, but the design fascinates me, plus I've met some terrific people on the JVC thread.

Anyway, when I unpacked these 'phones & put them on, they felt alien: very large (at least 4.1" diameter earcup where pads attach), heavy, bad pads (everyone agrees), too much clamping. They felt like jungle gyms on my head.

It takes faith to ignore all that, burn them in for 200+ hrs, swap out the pads, then see what's really there. So here's what I said to console myself after this rough start was, "At least the earcups are enormous: thank god for that!" (true)

I find them to be more comfortable than the Vibro or Omni. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the headband is metal underneath and can be bent for a more customized fit, if necessary.

It's a completely different headband and cup design. Don't count them out until you try them. Do you go to shows? I'm sure there will be an opportunity to try them out if you attend them.

I thought I would like padauk better aesthetically, but the cherry is really something with the all black headband.

The padauk sound is more to my needs. Decisions decisions!

Atticus looks like my next headphone. Should pair nicely with my Valhalla 2.

This reminds me - the Padauk production sets will have a dark silver/charcoal colored gimbal and metal parts. I will update the site.

Would love to find out how the two would pair myself, but these are in the "must try before buying" price range for me and I doubt there's gonna be a vendor north of the boarder. Guess I'll have to make the trip down south once they start rolling out.

Now... if only there was a North American tour....hmmm...
