Anyone who has heard a variety of ZMF headphones keep coming back to Atticus and find it to be their favorite?

Whenever I want to relax and and not worry about judging my gear and just listen I often go to the Atticus. Although it's not at technically competent as the V closed it just has a really easy sound to stay involved in. I know I'm biased ofc because I make them, but each model I make is suited for different moods instead of just varying technicalities.

Ya man. Right now I have Atticus and 800S and find they complement eachother really well. Atticus just sounds so fun, dark, imposing, heavy handed and rich. Its the dark chocolate of headphones... my guilty pleasure! :D

Atticus and Hd800 are a great combo! The best of both worlds! Plus Hd800 works great with any of the amps that work great with Zmfs.

I was a bit nervous to mention a non-ZMF headphone in my post. But Zach you just show how laid back and cool you are. That is why so many people love you and your company bro! You are the Keanu of headphones!!!!!!

Atticus is just amazing. I kept going back and forth with HD800S on it and some female vocals and acoustic music. And although I did miss that clarity and open feel of the 800S... the richness and sense that you are in the music and emotionally connected to the music (with Atticus).. that music simply becomes so much more vivid and beautifully full overwhelmed any short comings. Even if the HD800S is more 'accurate' sounding... the headphone that gives me more pure enjoyment is hands down the Atticus.

I wonder if Verite closed gives you the same feeling but brings more speed and detail? But even if it does I wonder if it will then lose that magic touch the Atticus has?

So many say the abyss tc is the best headphone in the world.. (I only heard the abyss og)... but the question I have is does it have the warm midrange and emotional magic the Atticus has?

If this is a serious question, the answer is no. The 1266 TC isn't really that good anyways.

Not to be off topic but what did you not like about it and what did you like more? Do you like ZMF more in general and if so which models ?

The ergonomics and fit is trash. It makes sense for what the designers wanted to do, but for any long, enjoyable listening id rather wear anything else. Especially at the price.
I like ZMFs more because they fit better not necessarily due to sound (I prefer planars over dynamics more often than not), the 1266 sound is impressive but thats only after you get it dialled in. I'd probably take a Diana phi over a ZMF headphone at equal cost.
