So one thing I was wondering was, if I should get a 4.4mm/2.5mm cable for portable/office use OR just buy a MUCH cheaper XLR4 to 4.4mm connector and use that instead...what do you all think? The advantage here is - 2.5mm for example is VERY flimsy, and if it snaps off then all i lose is a $30 - $50 interconnect instead of a $200+ cable.
Hmm, good point. I went through this dilemma a while ago when buying another cable - which termination to go for, since there’s no standard these days. Personally I decided to go with 2.5mm as I’ve got adaptors for 2.5 to 4.4mm balanced, 2.5 to XLR Massdrop adaptor, 2.5 balanced to 3.5 single-ended and 2.5 to 3.5mm balanced adaptors. So I figured it would be a good choice for my situation, but someone else might have a different preference. Re-soldering on a new 2.5mm connector is an option if it breaks, so the whole cost of the cable isn’t down the tube.

I see some stitching loose, and forever it will be seen. You're welcome. Those look amazing
It can be removed with Photoshop! hehe

Damn, that headphone is beautiful! The chatoyance is actually dazzling. To me it looks like "Ghost Burl"

Ghost Burl, that would actually be a great name for a band!

Guys...LOOK WHAT SHOWED UP a couple of days early!! Also: does anyone know how to increase the clamping force, my head is tiny.

First impressions: between the memory foam and all the other materials, unlike LCD-XC this is just PLACED on your head very comfortably...I can certainly see myself forgetting that I'm wearing headphones and just think it's speakers somewhere nearby.

Presenting Zebrawood Atticus.

For how heavy they can be, they are quite comfortable. Zach has videos on his YouTube explaining "headband bending" which should help with the clamp force. Congrats!

Here’s the link to the video the previous commenter mentioned. Beat me by a few seconds to posting while I was looking it up.

Which wood is that? Eikon or Atticus?

Enjoy!
