Hmm. Well, I for one think the Atticus is way, way better than Tyll Hertsens describes.
And I don't think the Eikon is better. Rather, I think they're both excellent for different applications.
+1

In reading about the characteristics of the Atticus, the In Absentia record must sound incredible on it. One of my favorite rock records.
In Absentia is a mind-blowing experience on the Atticus.

That's the best part of getting a great headphone - it's like you are hearing your favorite music for the first time and experiencing the wonder all over again.
My favorite album. Can't wait for my Atticus!
Tyll seems to focus a lot on frequency response in his reviews. ("There's a slight dip at 2 kHz.") I can appreciate his approach, but personally I'm more interested in how the music sounds and feels.
I can't wait to find out for myself. That is the album that introduced me to PT and Steven Wilson overall. Simply a great record!
Yeah, I got the note from him today. Do you know when his new album is released? I usually buy the ridiculously expensive special edition of special editions, because I'm a SW nerd...
