I need help so bad I am so confused I am getting headphones around tax return time and have narrowed it down to 5 choices ath pro 700mk2 dt880 32 ohm vs dt770 32 ohm denon d2000 or Sony mdr xb1000 I am brand new to this head-fi site/experience and need urgent help I will not be amping these my sources are an I-pod touch 4th gen nd the eq on that. I need suggestions so bad I listen to mostly hip hop rap(hardcore like boosie nd webbie) some country nd some dubstep I <3 bass especially the deep rumble like earthquake kind. my budget is no more than 350 us dollars. I posted this thread just because I wanted to have people rank these in order from best to worst based on bass (deep but still punchy), comfort, and finally sex appeal please respond ASAP anyone I am so lost I have read probably 500 pages or more about headphones and finally decided to try to get exactly the answer I want please and thank u to any and all that help with my search for eardrum destruction :) ps.I have looked at the m50 and they do not appeal to me

DT770 80 ohm, Sony XB have good bass for budget-price but as you step up in the line, it becomes meh. Don't do DT880. Denon 2K are also good they're just more expensive compared to the DT770 80 ohm.

You'd be surprised what your iPod would do. You can run 600 ohms straight out of it and get decent volume levels (though you shouldn't). For pure bass? DT770 > Denon > XB. For overall SQ, Denon > DT770 > XB. Just me though.

Pure bass and you're rating both those above XB??? Pure bass, XB wins. Under that is the Pro700 mk2, its an absolute beast without the sound quality loss of the XB. The beyers didn't satisfy me at all in terms if bass quantity, and anyone who's tried all those will tell you both the xb and pro700 mk2 have more bass than the beyers.
