In the end searching for them will still end up reading opinions, just not yours.

He needs to find his sound signature since music is so subjective. Buy from Amazon, use return policy if the headphone doesn't wow you. Who knows, some members here might live near you so you could audition several headphones.

Your welcome brother.  Sometimes it's best to just dive in.  Words and suggestions are great but can no way substitute true experience.  I hope you find yours soon so you can join the rest of us!

Whoops sorry I wasn't much help. Thats the crappy thing with this hobby. Rarely is somebody ever happy listening to someone else's equipment :)
