I would wonder whether or not STU is to replace ESSENCE ONE. THe prices are so close.

On the other hand, I've recieved the Asus Essence One MUses Edition ordered from Chinamainland for US$650.

The test report is really suspicious. The test report is issued by the New Japan Radio Co. Ltd. That is the manufacturer of muses 01!...
And what does it mean by good, very good?? Is there another graded called 'excellent' or 'distinction'. Will the JRC issue the test report marked as 'fair', 'poor' etc..? Really rediculous.

Then don't take it seriously, it's obviously a marketing brochure, would you ship your product with one that says they're bad? really ridiculous. We have consumer reviewer's testimonies unless you don't trust them too?

no, I am really satisifactory with this Essence One Muses. I like it very much and I find it worths this price. The performance is good enough. What I'd like to say is that I want to remind the consumers that they have to beware of the advertisements of different companies. Moreover, the price in here (Hong Kong) is not so reasonable (about USD$1160), even much higher than in Taiwan.(As they are practising price discrimination)

And I'm the Asus's fan too as I have the STX too.:)

The STU is not meant to replace the Essence One, they are more of a lower priced DAC offering from ASUS.  Not sure why they are priced so close where you live.
I just got one in and will be reviewing it if you are interested in having a look.

Because they finally understood that the essence was the ugliest piece of chunk they ever made so they build at least good looking box,
I wonder who buys these things when there are a lot of chinese DIY dac, cheaper, better looking, and probably better sounding..

I just received my Stu a couple of days ago, and i love the sound. There's a very noticeable different from what i was used to (udac from nuforce). Also, it makes my speakers sound better too :D

But sadly i've encountered a small problem with it. Sometimes when i try to connect it to my computer, it says that it is connected, but it doesn't play? That is really really annoying, and sometimes it takes me up half an hour to make it play because of that reason? Maybe it's because i'm on a mac or something?
