Hi all,
i bought myself a little Christmas present. A Fiio A5 portable headphone amp. It has excellent reviews but was recently discontinued. I saw some new ones being sold by a UK ebay seller and ordered it just before Brexit. At 125 euros it is a bargain in my opinion.
i must say that my favourite set up is still Sr25 line out to my old and reliable Denon PMA1500 stereo amp to my Denon Ah-d7200 Headphones.
Now the combination of the Sr25 line out and the Fiio A5 is a strong second position. The SR25 directly to the Denon Ah-D7200 sounds amazing. The Fiio A5 amp brings it a bit further. There is a clear improvement, specially separation between instruments and also the feel of sound power. All in all very happy with the purchase. No noise at all.
I will probably continue listening to the SR25 directly most of the time either with the Denons or with my Etymotic ER4XR but the little amp gives me a bit more to continue digging the music and I will certainly use it specially for attentive listening. I include a couple of pics.

Just updated my SR25 - interestingly enough among the "operational stability improvements" they seem to have fix the wi-fi instability issues that prevented me to stream from Qobuz While before it stopped after 4-5 minutes, it is now going on for 30 minutes already. Will test AK Connect also and let you all know.

We should thank AK for fixing an issue they never acknowledged existed

I feel it’s much different with the new firmware that using Bluetooth aptX is much better quality also. Even though haven’t tried with the wired just yet. But I only use half of the volume I used to use.

Actually after some more testing ignore my previous post. It is still dropping the connection, although not as frequently as before. Oh well, no Qobuz then

Hi all,
I received the DAP yesterday and have managed to install tidal and Apple Music for offline listening. However, I could not get Spotify to work. On the APKPure website, two Spotify apps were present. One which can’t be installed as it was google play store only. The other one supported APK but just showed error message when I try to install it on the DAP. Just wondering which Spotify version did you guys get that works?

Maybe try direct from Spotify (not tested):

By "not tested" I mean it has worked before but I did not try today.

In the native A&K Tidal app, it used to show the MQA quality, above the back, play/pause, forward icons. I don't see it anymore after the update to 1.30. Just says Master now next to the track progress....like the Tidal APK app. Bummer...I read in this thread awhile back that A&K had to get permission from Tidal for that. Maybe Tidal didn't want it showing anymore?

i thought it was always at the top. I'll ask one of my co-workers to check a player that hasn't been updated yet because now I am curious.

It could just be me. I don't use the pre-installed Tidal app that much. I prefer the APK version.

Thanks for checking Jason! Just an FYI, your participation in this thread, previous and current, was one of the reasons I purchased the SR25 to replace my Fiio M11. And I'm not disappointed in my purchase one bit! Thanks for your support Jason!

Once you connect to the Wi-Fi access point, swipe down from the top of the screen and there will be a message in the notification bar, I don't remember the exact message, something along the lines of "Sign in to Wi-Fi". Click on the notification and the player will launch a window to sign in.

I can’t see “Sign In to WiFi“ message then even updated to FW 1.30, anything I can try? Any simple browser can be installed via OpenApp for login purpose？
