Is there any way to enable Developer options on the SR15, I need to enable the "Disable absolute volume" setting for Bluetooth earphones that doesn't have volume controls on the earphones themselves, otherwise volume is really low even when the player is on high volume, half of my listening is Bluetooth, please help... Any Astell & Kern reps here?
Unfortunately, users cannot access the developer options on the SR15. I did read online that your earphones do have a companion app that you can change the volume on the headphones themselves for devices that do not have volume control. You should be able to connect to both the SR15 and the smartphone app via Bluetooth, play back via the SR15 and control the volume from the app on your smartphone.
Hi sr15 owners
I am having this problem connecting via sr15 to USB B of dac/headphones amps.
So far I tried connecting to denafrips Ares, Audiolab mdac+ and the arcam irdacii.
The denafrips Ares started OK 1st day than 2nd after pausing dap and play sq became distorted finally 3rd day can't connect at all.
Audiolab mdac+ it shows signal path but no sound at all.
Arcam irdacii also the same no USB.
I have tried rebbot dap on & off dac take out and plug in USB B but to no avail.
But when I tried on chord mojo chord dave chord cutest chord Hugo2.all of these can connect.
Can Jason help explain on this situation.
I am using sr15 as tpt to dac and Aroma audio A100 as amp.
Tks for reading
@domho7 Sorry to hear about the issues you are having. When you connect to the SR15, does the "External USB" icon light up in the quick settings when you swipe down from the top? If so, when you press the External USB icon, do you see "USB Audio" appear below the icon?

Sounds like a good plan of attack, always good to get comfy with new gear. I remember mine got warmer at the beginning- but just when I did the battery test with a relatively loud volume of 91 for 9 hours my SR15 didn’t even get warm.
yeah, im a little concerned with the heating, but im aware of it. lots of people commented here that it gets warm within the first few days.
since its right now -18*C in my city, that warming will be very welcome lol. also since its so cold now i doubt it may even warm up that much.
I did finally get an answer last night, but there was really no more information that what I had already posted here. Below is what was provided to me from our HQ team. As you can see, not much clarification on playlists since 1.10 firmware. I again asked for more info. I will stay on top of them.
After Firmware version 1.10, the method of using the playlist function was changed due to the Open APP service.
The reasons for the change is some Music App create playlist file(.m3u) and it confuses the AK product.
So The conclusions is below.
playlist function
before
playlist file(.m3u)
It worked in any folder
After
It must be in playlist folder under the root
And It works.

Yep bit of a cold snap right now it’s -8.8*C right now here and is supposed to be -18*C tomorrow. And then of course with the wind chill factor added in, oh the beauty of living up north.
@JeremyLaurenson not yet, but I did bring this topic up again at our US team meeting yesterday and so did our head of US support. We both stressed that we needed answers ASAP. We requested detailed information on how playlists are now supposed to work under firmware since 1.10 and detailed instructions on how to correctly create external playlists. Hoping to have more information to share this week. I apologize this is still outstanding.
Hi Jason yes I did press it but it just won't connect.
I was at my local shop Av One the sales rep was trying out an Arcam irdac we both tried more than several mins there but to no avail. I tested with Audiolab mdac and denafrips Ares all can't connect.
But strangely with chord dac it can connect easily.
Hi Jason, could you please inform your developers that there is an issue with the back icon? I have to click on it many times before it reacts. Apparently, I am not the only facing this issue. I assume it is a software issue
Thanks
I have to admit that I am not a huge believer in the theory of burn in. However, in the case of my SR15 the sound definitely improved with a few hours of use.
Gotta' agree. I've had mine a couple of days and sound improved with a few hours of charging and loading music. Initially, I thought it sounded thin and contemplated returning it. It now sounds fuller, more rounded and natural. Who'd a' thunk?
I got senn 600 and I like the 660 better especially balanced. The 600 really don’t shine without a strong amp, the 660 are easier to drive and more transparent sounding to me.

I was just posting in another thread about a dap opening up after 80 hours and sounding better.
Wether physical or mental I believe in the burn in. Burn baby burn! And the SR15 I’ve heard after 200 hours sounds so good the listener is reduced to a drooling blubbering blob It literally blows their mind.
