Any chance that DS Audio Apk can be installed in SR15 in the future? a lot of users are storing their music in Synology NAS and want to be able to read it when not in the same network as the NAS

1. When used as transport, changing the L/R balance has no change on sound. Is this the desired behavior?

Yes, this is normal behavior

2. On side-loaded Tidal app, the back button always show. Dragging it to the middle of the screen won't remove it.

The virtual back button cannot be closed when using apps as a back button is required to be present in a number of Android apps and that is hard-coded into the apps themselves to look for the back button. The back button can be moved to another area of the screen

3. On side-loaded Tidal app, skipping tracks will insert a 2 second pause during which no audio signal is sent. Happens with saved tracks so it's not a internet speed problem.

I've had the same issues with certain versions of Tidal on my Samsung S9. What version of the Tidal app are you currently running?

@JasonNYC hey Jason, i know this might be a bit annoying or maybe too soon to tell, so forgive me, but how are the supplier issues coming along with Canada? im super anxious to be able to order my SR15 lol.

We should be finalizing inventory with our Canadian dealers this week. However, due to the holidays and product shipping from our warehouses in the US, customs, etc., it is possible dealers may not receive stock until after the holidays.

Correct. You would need to sideload the Tidal Android app APK in order to use offline mode. Functions the same way as the iOS app. MQA and Tidal Masters will only be available on the embedded Tidal app, which does not support offline mode. No Tidal Masters on the sideloaded Tidal Android app, as LG has an exclusive for Tidal Masters on the Android app until early 2019. Once their exclusive deal is over, Tidal Masters and MQA offline content will be available for all Android-based devices, including AK players.

I just need a bit more clarification on what will happen in 2019, after LG's exclusive comes to an end. After that point, will the embedded app support Tidal offline mode?

We are unable to offer Tidal offline mode on the embedded app at this time due to contractual terms between Tidal and the record labels.

Once the LG exclusive ends, Tidal will release an updated Android app which will open up Tidal Masters to all Android-based devices. This updated app can be sideloaded on the AK player and will allow Tidal Masters and offline mode.

The current Tidal Android app, when sideloaded on AK devices will allow Tidal Hi-Fi playback and offline mode, but no Masters.

There should be no difference in sound quality between the two. The embedded app is streamlined for the AK player.

I bought the Miter case for it , but returned it, as the cutouts for the USB connector were purely done, did just not fit! The AK case is just fantastic, it fits so perfectly, just like a skin mikromilimeter wise accurate... never regret the buy! I can recommend it absolutely!

The AK case is super nice, but it doesn’t have a cutout for the sdcard slot.

Can someone that has the AK case advise how tight it is. I have had issues with my AK100 and AK100ii fitting so tightly that I worry about damaging the case or the player trying to get them out.

Wish the player had come with a case. Thought it was a deal during the promo to get it for $599 less the 5% but sure hurts to have to spend another $79 on a case...that isn't even leather.

It is indeed very tight.

Hopefully it loosens up a little over time a little even though it’s not leather. I had the official case for the AK70 from the same manufacturer and it was really nice.
