1.57 is the correct version. 1.55 was supposed to be released last week, but the QA team found a bug that was fixed. The new version firmware reflects the update. The web team had the support page done already ahead of the update that was originally planned for last week. Looks like they forgot to update it. I already put a request in first thing this morning to have the correct version number listed.

At last :)
JasonNYC thanks for the announcement.
I tried the DAC filter settings but am unable to hear the slightest difference (even with my Focal Clear). Do I need even better headphones or simply better ears? :)

the Dac filter changes are ever so slight, and for most hard to discern. Don't expect that a change to a different can will make that difference discernable.

I have used many devices using DAC from ESS SABER, and all of them have these filters. After many trying, I cant see any differences between filters haha

@Dionysus & ducnsh
Thanks to both of you for the clarification. Will leave the DAC filter at the default setting.

I see your sign that you have SE100 and SE200, can you compare them?

Yes, of course. As I've written earlier in this thread, IMHO they complement each other.
The big advantage of the SE200 are the 2 DACs. The AK side is more forwarding (like sitting in the first row of a concert) but has a smaller soundstage while the ESS side is a bit more relaxed and spacious. I personally prefer the ESS side, but there're music genres that do sound better using the AK DAC (Neo Classic, Smooth Jazz for example).
The SE200 also sounds a bit more detailed compared to the SE100 but you need good cans to notice the difference.
The last OS feature drop has brought the SE100 on par with the SE200.

Wow, many thanks for releasing this. You forgot to mention that it can also now view Bitrate Information :wink:
Last Wish for next Firmware Update: Please add more input methods for international customers for example german and french.
Many Competitors (FiiO, Hiby, Cayin) with Android based Players can do this.

@JasonNYC Another Suggestion for next Firmware: I think it relates to all A&K Players. The Amazon Music App is only capable of playing 24-bit/192kHz Material if you play a song before in 24bit/192kHz with the Onboard Player. Otherwise, Amazon Music App will show that the device is only capable of playing up to 24bit/48KHz. I think that must be a bug within the Hardware/Software of the A&K Players.

It's a bug in the Amazon Music software. Nothing we can do. If you look at the other manufacturer threads here on Head-Fi, you will see they have the same issue.

I understand that the issue may very well be on Amazon's end, but most of my other Android DAPs (Hiby, FiiO and Sony) have somehow resolved it at this point. Respectfully, perhaps it is worth another look.
