Agree, for a DAP series to be truely "ULTIMATE" it has to be ultimate in all aspect not just in sound.Look forward to your impressions on it @Whitigir. Especially on the impact of the nutubes. I have always chosen the Cu version of AK players, where available, because I do like a bit more warmth. Though my guess is the other thing I wish that AK SP2000 has more of, which is more driving power, will have to wait until SP3000. If at all.

It is true! Kinda unacceptable for how fasts the mobile OS are progressing and abandoning or out dating the older SOC in the while all the flagship DAP that does nothing but only music are sticking with much older SOCAgree, for a DAP series to be truely "ULTIMATE" it has to be ultimate in all aspect not just in sound.
in the many years past, we were stuck with the SOC not being able to perform dedicated audio performances job, but now with FPGA master, you would think that all flagship DAP should be sporting Snapdragon 888 or so

Indeed! We all remember the issues that us owners of AK DAPs faced when the embedded Tidal didn't work. and even now Deezer doesn't work via the embedded app. and of course how long it took before Apple Music worked again. That was down to the outdated hardware and OS.It is true! People or other thread users can come here to say what they want, do the handstand, do somersaults, scream or yell, in terms of sound quality, this dap is still top, the rest are stories, say what they say, this must probably annoy a lot of people , 2 years of existence and top still, you need to know how to do it

I do tend to post in threads where I actually own the gear in question. Or I am interested in constructively finding out more about the gear.
Whatever may be the case, it will be interesting to see what the next flagship from AK brings to the table. In terms of a modern SOC, OS, more driving power. So that the struggles will be less in terms of compatibility with streaming apps and the Google Playstore. That will be a welcome upgrade for the new flagship @JasonNYC

Unless you have owned all the opposition you cannot possibly know whether this ever was top or still is top in terms of sound.People or other thread users can come here to say what they want, do the handstand, do somersaults, scream or yell, in terms of sound quality, this dap is still top, the rest are stories, say what they say, this must probably annoy a lot of people , 2 years of existence and top still, you need to know how to do it
That's a great theory, I did not say that the SP2000 is the best of all daps from what I heard is the best soundwise, but you are right I did not listened to all them, to know if a automobile is good or very good you need to own them all?Unless you have owned all the opposition you cannot possibly know whether this ever was top or still is top in terms of sound.
When you try the N8 to cayin tubes, we talk againThat's a great theory, I did not say that the SP2000 is the best of all daps from what I heard is the best soundwise, but you are right I did not listened to all them, to know if a automobile is good or very good you need to own them all?

One feature I do enjoy about the AK DAPs is its Roon Ready status. Allows me to connect via USB DAC into any other device for audio output.
@Andricop We were informed by Deezer yesterday that they will no longer support the embedded Deezer app going forward. The embedded app will be removed in the next firmware update. The Deezer Android APK is still supported and can be installed via OpenApp.@JasonNYC : Hi Jason, sorry to insist but I never got any answer on this.
The embedded Deezer app is not working since at least December 2020 (just not possible to log in).
What's A&K plan here please? Are you still planning to fix the problem? Or more probably after 9 months the issue will never be addressed; so are you planning to remove the app to free some space so we can add a few songs at least ?
Thanks.

Hi, Ask @JasonNYC how can I make a folder from my computer (Win 10) appear in the AK Connect library? I have all my music stored in that folder and it would be ideal if my player (SP2000 and ak t1) could see it.
With the mc connect application I have no problem, it appears.

Thanks JasonNYC for chasing the dev team and Deezer!
I can understand that they prefer to focus on the Android APK app and good that AK removes it from the firmware.
The problem is that the Deezer app doesn't seem available at APK Pure; when you click on the app you get an "Error 410 - Page Deleted or Gone"
https://apkpure.com/search?q=deezer

From which other source can we install it?
Thank you!
I use APK Mirror as an alternative when I cannot find something on APK Pure. Thanks JasonNYC for chasing the dev team and Deezer!

Hi @JasonNYC ,
I saw that AK fixed the issue of embedded Tidal app for SP2000 but there are still problems with the iOS app AK Connect 2. Before the issue with the embedded Tidal, I can play Tidal from the iPhone and listen the music from the SP2K, since the issue I cant do it anymore, even after AK fixed the embedded app.
Do you have any news about this?
