I am not generalizing, the marriege of the system chain is extremely important, what I am saying is that there are BA driver iem that have completly diferent sound tuning, the driver technology is not the fundamental thing to have a great system, the diference that I notice between the Andrómeda and IERZ1R in the sp2000 is noticeable in the DX220 max to

For BA iems, there's no question SP2000 is better TO MY EARS because you're able to hear more details and layerings. Hugo 2 has more impact and power so they're different in that sense. Hence, I am thinking about just keeping my H2Go and use it to drive hybrids (Eg, Z1R) in the future. Currently, I just got a very nice amp yesterday to pair up with H2GO to drive my HD800S and Stellia. H2GO is kind of nice in the way that it's a transformer in that it can do literally a lot of things (streamer/dac/amp or pure dac).

Hope this helps

Interesting, thanks. And what about the Stellia with the Hugo 2 vs. the SP2000? (I actually own the Stellia and use them with my SP2000). I realize the SP2000 has less power, but given that the Stellia are low-impedence anyway...

This is an interesting one. I actually enjoy stellia with sp2000 and I attribute this to sp2000’s tuning. What made me pull the trigger for stellia was when I hooked it up with spkm. Stellia is so nice in the way that you don’t need good amp to make it perform at its peak performance ...

This is a fact. It is a sublime pairing with SP2000. The only other thing I would add I to the chain is a pure silver cable.

I second that. Tbh I just did a testing using pure UPOCC copper cable vs silver plated and I really liked the silver plated copper more as it reduces a lot of the haze but some people might think opposite haha

What? 100 to 120 in balanced? With ierz1r? My God... I listen 80 to 100 in SE and for me is plenty of loudness... Take care of your hearing folks....and yes ierz1r is a demanding iem in terms of power

I also do 100 - 120 also, 110 -125 with MDR-Z1R's.

Unplug the earphone and plug back in again.
This problem should only be on the balanced output and has yet to be fixed since the release of sp2000.

I think it's very disappointing the USB-c cable that comes with the SP2000 is not capable of DAC function. I'm searching the web for "dac usb-c cable" and so on -- and I'm coming up empty. Long shot, but: does anyone know of a usb cable that does this? I mean a USB-c cable that connects the SP2000 to a PC enabling the dac function?

I don't understand what you are saying... My SP2000CU had already been connected to the Pc many times doing usb dac with the stock usb cable with no problem
