  Had mine for a while now and love the sound. The UI is another matter all together! Very buggy and slow. Hopefully, A&K will come out with a fix for this soon. Other than that, a beautiful looking player with great sound.

I noticed that i linked it to a 128gb but I do mean 200 which I hope is the one you are saying you use. If so,
I'm assuming you had to reformat it? And it works with no hiccups?

How is the Jr compared to other Wolfson DAC players like FiiO X3 or DX50? What cheaper players offer better sound than this?

today i went to b&h NYC they have ak jr on display..i tried it side by side with my X3..using my own file..and my beloved se846..all i can say is WOW!!a lot more better and more premium sound than my X3...definitely worth for $500..i will get one soon..realy love the ak jr sound

Yes I agree the AK Jr sounds way better than the X3 due to the tonality. I was never really impressed with the original X3. If you go there again, I would recommend trying the X3II (unless you have that model) since I found it to sound very nice as well for less than half the price.

B&H has X1,X3ii and X5 on display..and i tried them all using my own file...so i was comparing Ak jr with X1,X3ii,X5 and my own X3...for my ear none of them beat Ak jr sound...i dont know how to explain it...it's just so match with my se 846...wonderful sound..love it
