maybe it will be my next purchase lp e12 but I'm afraid that makes it sound kinda cool and edgy in fact I had a e11 and I did not like much.

For me, the best sound was making an upside down V so in other words a lower case n. From there is gives you that open spacious sound signature I love. The E12a with the Bass switch on gives the sub bass the perfect raise it needs to perfect the sound.. Or atleast, with my IEMs for RHA and Sony it does.

All I mean is if you think default EQ settings as a flat line, leave the Bass slider the 1st of 5 sliders alone at 0. Raise the 2nd of 5 sliders up to 1, move the 3rd of 5 sliders up to 2, the 4th of 5 sliders to 1, and once again, leave the 5th of 5 sliders at 0.
If you look at the line you've created on a graph, you have now made an upside down V or as I called it a lowercase n.

That give you a very mid-centric sound that provides you with all the details in music you could ask for with out being sibilant or harsh. In my usage with my equipment.

If step to fw 1.0.3 c it is an improvement with bass thanks.

Pro-eq as Astell describes is a smart eq which sets the frequencies due to the type of the musics which are playing back...
But due to my own experiments, its just a fixed preset one which makes the sound a bit v shaped by increasing the very top and bottom end of the whole spektrum
And no, if you update to 1.03 theres no any change to the SQ including bass and eq performance.

Kudos! At least we got an answer.
 
It's very confusing when one representative says an update will be coming soon and another says no. I'm thinking if they have an internal communication problem or the representative that said "No updates" just don't give a damn.
 
Anyways, let's hope they'll find a way to release the firmware update soon.

Only a few hours of listening and I can say to be extremely pleased.
Jr - grado sr225e is an excellent coupled, a magnificent sound effortless listening.

after 1 hour of listening ak jr, I must say that the sound clean and clear but has a big lack of bass and rock music that's not good.

My Jr. has been sitting in the drawers for weeks now. It's so much of a hassle to use it. Maybe I should try emptying the music in the internal storage into a SD card.

Why so much hassle, kimvictor? Mine's laggy when scrolling through artists but definitely no issue if I browse the folders. Once you get to the album/artist you want to listen to you can then line up the next album/track by adding to playlist. I know it can be irritating at times; just got to realise it's never going to be an Apple product whatever firmware upgrade they come up with.

It's fine once music is playing, but it's such a hassle to change albums. Also, the album art loading(most of my album arts aren't read by the Jr properly, so I have to adjust the resolution of the images manually to make my Jr display the album art). 
 
It lags so much when scrolling.
