Ok now that even more bs that it was previously since I cannot charge my amp and my player now. Great!
And my AK 320 is not recognized by my pc anymore when it is up (it is still showing when booting up though...?)

Make sure you are charging with a 5v charger . I use the tronsmart 5v charger. It’s the only kind that will charge through the amp and 3xx dap at the same time . It’s also the only charger that works with the alarm recorder . Standard chargers don’t always work .

I have been either using my computer or the 2 wall adapters which are 5V 2A and 5V 1A respectively for months (with the cable provided by AK). Weirdly enough I can now charge my amp but not my AK.

When I connect it to charge it, the screen is blinking showing an empty battery on the screen.

Edit : now the screen is completely off.

I remember this to happen to me with my Fiio X5 III (android as well), where he refused to accept any kind of charge... I did a full reset (data and setting) and it came back to normal.
Did you try it?

I am in the inverse situation as yours. My Ak320 is fine but it seems I cannot charge my AK-amp. Any advices?
The body of the amp does not get hot when charging. Though I am standing there and can see the blue LED of the amp shining... But I can't turn it on. It says "can't turn on the amp, charge it" and stays with the blue led on... What the hell is that?

Edit : Ok now I am in the same boat as you. Can't seem to charge the ak with the battery icon blinking ...

No choice but to send the unit back to the agent to have a look, but need to fly to HK to do so.... Errrrrh

Just sent back to the agent. They told me the charging IC was spoiled. Can replace the IC without charge since still under warranty.

Add me to this list. I have sent my AK320 to the service center in Germany and the reason was the charging IC.

Do you know if the AK380 will ever receive this update, or our expensive AK380 DAPs are definitely obsolete?

The AK380 will not be getting the Open APK update as it runs an older version of Android than the newer players. We will continue to support and are planning on adding some new features in future firmware updates for other players in the line that will not get the OpenAPK support, including the AK300 series players. We will make some official announcements soon.

The newer devices have octa-core CPUs which work well with a number of the streaming apps and provide a quick and fluid UI experience. We could bring the updated version of Android, new UI and OpenAPK service to the older players, but feel it would provide a sub-par experience which we do not want to do.

Our main mission has always been and always will be to provide the best playback possible of high-resolution content and we feel streaming services are not there yet to do that, so while we are offering the new service to customers with newer devices to have more choices and options, we will mainly continue to focus on high-res playback of content on all of our devices, both new and previous generations.
